Now If you were to ask what of Rockman relates to Christmas, the general answer you would get is "Dr. Right".  No surprise, since Dr. Right's general appearance was in fact based on the crimson serial nighttime trespasser, Santa Claus.  But ask that same question to Japan's Rockman Netizens, and you would get a very different answer.  They will tell you fairly unequivocally it would be Vajurilla FF, member of the hardly remembered Nightmare Police and one shot villain that appeared in Rockman X3.   _Since "it's that most wonderful time of the year",  Let us look at a little Rockman Christmas meme tradition.

Vajurilla FF: "Meeee~~Ryyyyyy ChRiStMaAAAS!!!
HIYA---HAAHAAHAAHAAHAA------------"
So how does a Buddhist themed warrior turn into a Christmas meme? The credit for the original idea belongs to 岩本佳浩 (Iwamoto Yoshihiro), artist and writer of the Rockman X Manga serialized in Comic Bon Bon.  In 1996, the manga had progressed into the Rockman X3 storyline, which yield the scene and quote you see on the right.
As the scene goes, X and Zero had been captured by the Nightmare Police. To relish the doom and agony of the people, Vajurilla FF decides to do a public execution of the heroes on Christmas day.  The heroes were crucified with drill arms aimed at the top of their heads.  Just as the drills were about to strike down, a massive explosion erupted.  Vajurilla FF assumed it was caused by the drill's impact and that the murdering deed had be done, causing him to make his how iconic euphoric expression to the public:
"メぇぇぇ~~リぃぃぃぃぃクリっスマぁぁぁ--スぅ!!"
Which basically translate to a very elongated and crazy scream of "Merry Christmas".

Vajurilla FF LOVES his Christmas
This over the top holiday cry of Vajurilla FF has had a iconic impact on the character.  This is because the single comic panel of this scene does not carry with it any of the previous exposition. It just looks like Vajurilla FF is crazy exuberant for Christmas. And to humorous effect at that!   Try a Google image search of  ヴァジュリーラFF and see what you get. The top searches link directly back to Christmas. There is even an Asian Ascii version for 2channel msgboard usage._

Pixiv Artists play their part along with the meme as well:
To Iwamoto's credit, he has played his own fair share of keeping the insanity alive as well.   For the last few years, he has included with his yearly Christmas Day greeting, the "more than happy" Vajurilla FF spreading his own brand of Christmas cheer:
Hopefully you have been a good boys and girls this year.  Because if you have been, you might have an exuberant golden visitor this 25th to share with you holiday cheer and traditional Christmas,........chicken and roll cake. (*Don't look at me, it's a Japanese thing).

I love this meme. When I saw your post, I got all excited thinking that Iwamoto posted this year's image up early! False alarm, but hey I can wait another week.

Silly FF, you should really take your toy out of the box first if you're going to execute it.
